Top 10 Police Stations of India
On Saturday, December 7th 2019, the Ministry of Home Affairs has released the list of top 10 police stations of India. In this list of the best working police stations in the country, Aberdeen police station of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has ranked first.
State wise, after Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gujarat in second place, Madhya Pradesh in third place, Tamil Nadu in fourth place, Arunachal Pradesh in fourth place, Delhi in sixth position, Rajasthan in seventh place, Telangana in eighth place, Goa in ninth place and Madhya Pradesh is once again in tenth place.
Three things have been made the basis to measure the performance of the police station.
- Property offenses i.e. crimes related to property
- Crime against women
- Crimes against the oppressed sections of society.
The police stations in which such cases have been found less have been considered as the best police station.
A total of 15,579 police stations were selected from all states. In this, feedback was also taken from the people about the police stations. In the first phase, three police stations were selected from all the states. Later, two police stations were selected from Delhi and all other states and finally one police station was selected from all the centrally administered territories.
