INS Satpura entered Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on June 27, 22 to participate in the 22nd Biennial Multilateral Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC-22). The exercise is hosted by the US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDPACOM)
INS Satpura and an Indian Navy P-8I Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft will participate in one of the largest multilateral exercises led by the US Navy, the biennial exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022.
The exercise will see more than six weeks of intense operations and training, aimed at improving interoperability and building trust between navies from friendly foreign nations.
27 countries are participating in the current edition of the multidimensional exercise.
INS Satpura is a locally designed and built 6,000 ton guided missile stealth frigate. It is equipped to seek out and destroy air, surface and submarine adversaries. A frontline unit of the Eastern Fleet based in Visakhapatnam, INS Satpura is currently on extended operational deployment in the 75th year of India’s independence
