Planned criminal conspiracy of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad – Indian Defence Research Wing

 In a sensational disclosure in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, it has been revealed that the terror attack was a result of a well-planned criminal conspiracy hatched by Pakistan-based leadership of terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad. The National Investigation (NIA) has in its charge sheet has said that JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar, along with his brothers Abdul Rauf Asghar and Ammar Alvi were constantly in touch with the attackers through WhatsApp calls and messages.

Rs 10 lakh of Pakistani currency amount was deposited in the bank account of Mohammad Umar Farooq, who is the son of IC 814 Indian Airlines hijacking case conspirator Ibrahim Athar. As per the NIA charge sheet, Farooq used Rs 5.7 lakh to buy a Maruti Eeco car, 200 kg of explosives and other logistic support to carry out the Pulwama terror attack.

On February 14, 2019, a suicide attack on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Pulwama district had led to the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel. The NIA had reportedly taken the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to substantiate the call records of the terrorists.

“The investigation has revealed that the Pakistan-based JeM leadership consisting of Masood Azhar, Rouf Asgar and Ammar Alvi @ Chacha @ Chota Masood were continuously giving directions and guidance to the Pakistani JeM terrorists (who had infiltrated into India) both before and after the attack. They had also planned to carry out another suicide attack which got averted due to Balakot strikes and due to killing of main conspirator Mohd. Umar Farooq by the security forces. Further, due to international pressure, Pakistan lied low,” the NIA has said.

The NIA has filed 13,800 pages charge sheet against 19 accused persons in connection with Pulwama terror attack.

Notably, Pakistan Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry recently claiming that Pulwama terror attack was a great “accomplishment” under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“We attacked India after infiltrating in its own territory and the success in Pulwama was a success under the leadership of Imran Khan. It was a success of our community and the opposition is also a partner in this success,” Chaudry made the sensational remarks while addressing the Paksitan National Assembly.
