Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, on Tuesday, hit out at the Congress party alleging that party leaders ‘took kickbacks in several military deals’. Referring to the VVIP chopper deal, in which names of various Congress leaders have surfaced, Prasad said, “Whenever you think of kickbacks in a military deal, think of a Congress leader.”
“There is no work without kickback. No deal without a deal, no contract without a cut for Congress leaders,” Prasad said.
Ahead of DDC polls in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party. On Monday, BJP slammed Congress for supporting the Gupkar Alliance and demanded that the grand old party must come clean on Article 370. The Gupkar Alliance under National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah has demanded that the special status of Jammu and Kashmir must be restored.
The BJP also accused Congress party and constituent parties of Gupkaar alliance of talking like ‘Pakistan’ or ‘anti-India countries’.
Shah, Sitharaman slam Congress
Earlier today, Home Minister Amit Shah criticised Congress for wanting ‘foreign forces to intervene in Kashmir’ along with the ‘Gupkar gang’.
“Congress and the Gupkar Gang want to take J&K back to the era of terror and turmoil. They want to take away the rights of Dalits, women and tribals that we have ensured by removing Article 370. This is why they’re being rejected by the people everywhere,” Shah said.
Shortly later, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also joined the conversation and said that Congress had a tendency to associate with the ‘tukde-tukde gang’. “Well said, @AmitShah ji. The @INCIndia has increasingly found comfort in the ‘break-India’(‘tukde-tukde’) naxal groups. They have exposed their continuing tendency to associate with forces which seek external help to upset India. People of India seek an answer from @INCIndia,” she said in a tweet.
