EXTRACT FROM THE DECLARATION OF THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE
This is an excerpt from an official statement released today by the Department of Defense. To put it simply, it is just a matter of making up nonsense and putting the words in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mouth.
Apparently the PM said (his remarks are in lower case bluemy remarks in CAPITALS RED):
“India’s defense sector was very strong even before independence.” NO, MODI-JI, EVERYBODY KNOWS WE HAD ZERO DEFENSE INDUSTRY IN 1947.
“At the time of independence, there were 18 artillery factories in the country where many types of military equipment, including artillery guns, were manufactured.” HE IS SILENT ABOUT THE FACT THAT THERE ARE 40 ORDON FACTORIES IN INDIA TODAY!
“India was a major supplier of defense equipment during World War II.” NO, MR PM, WE HAD NOT COME CLOSE TO BEING A MAJOR DEFENSE SUPPLIER! »
“Our howitzers, machine guns made at the Ishapur Rifle Factory were considered the best.” MODI-JI, WILL YOU TELL US THEN WHY, UNTIL THE CHINA WAR OF 1962, OUR INFANTRY WERE USING AN OUTDATED BOLT-ACTION RIFLE?
“Before, we exported a lot. NO WE DO NOT HAVE. NOW WE ARE TRYING TO BOOST EXPORTS.
During the Corona period, India has made strides in economy, manufacturing and science. NO WE DO NOT HAVE. THE ECONOMY HAS RESERVED AND REMAINS AT A LOW EBB
“During the first decades of independence, there was no emphasis on the development of defense production and research and development was severely limited, as it was confined to the government sector.” THE PROBLEM WAS NOT ONLY THAT, BUT ALSO ARISING FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR’S DISTANCE FROM DEFENSE PRODUCTION.
BUT AT LEAST THESE DAYS THE PRIME MINISTER HAS NOT LIED TO THE COUNTRY. AND A MANUFACTURING BASE HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED THAT SUPPORTS DEFENSE R&D TODAY.
