Indian navy force might want to procure 24 MH-60R Seahawk helicopters from the US-based Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky Company. Sources in the Indian Defense Ministry said that the new obtaining would come as a swap for the maturing Sea King helicopters.

As of now, the Indian Navy utilizes Chetak Helicopters. The scope of Chetak’s is restricted to a range of around 10 km, regardless of whether from shore or from any drifting stage.
